ARTConnect™ Overview |
Developed by A Reality Technologies, ARTConnect™ is a revolutionary
new high-speed Internet service that combines the power and flexibility of DSL
with the cost of traditional dial-up services. Utilizing the latest in Internet
technology, ARTConnect™ provides users with high-speed, always on Internet
access using their existing telephone wiring. ARTConnect™ does not interfere
with existing voice or Internet services, including dial-up modems, digital
subscriber lines (DSL), and cable modems, and does not require the use of special
phone filters. Users have their choice from one of multiple ARTConnect™
service levels with current download speeds ranging from 200Kbps to 800Kbps.
Upload speeds are currently available at 130Kbps for all service levels. Current
pricing for service levels starts at $22.95 per month. The service level can be
changed instantly by users at any time. There is no commitment, and the service
will be "pay as you go" with payments being due on a monthly basis.
As with any computer connected to the Internet, security is a concern. ART
strongly believes users should not have to fend for themselves in what can be a
complex and hostile environment. ARTConnect™ has been incorporated with
firewall protection dramatically increasing user security against Internet
intruders.
In providing this service, ART believes all are entitled to participate in the
Information age, and strive to break down any "Digital Divide" preventing this. We
utilize the latest in technology to make this possible, working to make affordable
high-speed Internet for all a reality.

Frequently Asked Questions |
1. Will my existing telephone service be affected?
No. Our service does not interfere with traditional telephone voice services,
or current Internet services being used by the tenant, such as dial-up, DSL, and/or
cable modem.
2. Who will be the Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
A Reality Technologies will be the ISP. We will provide all of the customer and
technical support for our users, as they will contact us directly with any concerns.
3. Is the bandwidth listed for each service level guaranteed?
The ARTConnect™ service is provided on a best effort basis with no guarantees.
The connection speeds listed are defined as maximum possible speed. Throughput
(download) speed will most likely be lower than maximum connection speed and will vary
based on a number of factors, including distance from the ARTConnect™ equipment box,
the condition the phone line and wiring to each unit, network and Internet congestion,
and the servers or web sites to which the user connects, among other factors. Our
initial customer feedback indicates a steady 75% to 90% of the upper limit.
